It’s money for jam – and other homemade goods

IF you are 60 years or older and a crafter, you could earn yourself a little pin money by selling your artistic creations, needlework and home produce at the Senior Citizens’ Garden Centre and Craft Market, taking place at 39 Ocean View Drive in Sea Park this Saturday, February 11, from 9am to 4pm.

The organisers hold these markets as a community service and selling at these markets entails no costs for our seniors. In fact, you don’t even need to man a stall as they will sell your goods for you.

Everyone, young and old is asked to support these markets where a wide array of goods, from cakes and biscuits, pickles and jams to knitted, home-sewn and crocheted goods will be on sale. Plants propagated within the hosts’ garden will be on sale. Buyers will be able to view the parent plants and see for themselves the conditions they prefer.
