Join Tuesday Rostrum for a musical 30th anniversary lunch

Invitation to lunch: Talented singer Cole van Dias will entertain guests at the Tuesday Rostrum 30th anniversary lunch, at Mbango on Tuesday, April 11 after the annual general meeting that starts at 11.30am.

IT is 30 years since a group of optimistic local women got together to start a luncheon club for women in need of intellectual nourishment.

Their idea was met with great enthusiasm and Tuesday Rostrum came into being. Nicknamed the ‘friendly, thinking women’s club’. it has been a resounding success and is still going strong.

Members invite all local women – and any men who would like to come along – to the club’s special 30th anniversary lunch. It takes place at Mbango on Tuesday, April 11, at noon, after the annual general meeting, which starts at 11.30am.

Singer and songwriter Cole van Dias will add her golden voice to the festivities. This versatile performer has a wide repertoire of lovely songs that range from rock, pop and soul to chart topping golden oldies, songs from Abba and Madonna, hits from James Bond movies and music from 1980’s shows. As well as a lovely voice, she has a great stage presence and maintains a good rapport with her audiences.
