Local birder to lead Walk and Talk
IF you are interested in birding, don’t forget to line up for Mpenjati Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife honorary officers’ third Walk and Talk, which focuses on bird identification.
It takes place on the south bank of Mpenjati Nature Reserve, starting at the Whitehouse, this Saturday, November 7, at 8.30am for 9am. Everyone is welcome.
Well-known local birder and bird ringer Andrew Pickles will give a short talk on how to identify birds, after which he will accompany walkers as they stroll through the reserve to meet many of its avian residents.
The cost is R25 for adults and R15 for children. This includes the entrance fee to the reserve and a cup of tea or coffee after the walk. Cold drinks and bottles of water will be on sale.
