Margate hosts choir visit

 

CHORAL music fans shouldn’t miss a performance by the visiting Phoenix Choir from Harare, Zimbabwe, at Azalea Hall on April 17, at 3pm.

Tickets will be available at Margate Retirement Village RAC and admin offices or from Ramsgate Stationers from March 29.

Seating will be concert style.

Formerly known as the Caledonian Society Choir, the Phoenix choir was formed in 1959. Over the years, it has toured Zimbabwe extensively, delighting audiences with its particular brands of musical expertise. It has competed and done well in many of the annual eisteddfods.

The choristers were well received when they performed at Azalea two years ago.
