Going on show: Artist Vince Reid completes one of his exquisite pencil drawings. The opening of his 'Drawn to Africa' exhibition takes place at the Artists' Gallery, Ramsgate on June 16 at 6pm.

ART lovers and collectors will be pleased to know the Artists’ Gallery in Ramsgate will stage an exhibition featuring striking pencil art by Vincent Reid.

The opening of this exhibition, `Drawn to Africa’, takes place at the gallery on Thursday, June 16, at 6pm. All art enthusiasts are welcome. Snacks and wine will be served. The exhibition runs until Saturday, July 16.

A well-respected artist, Vince hails from Howick in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and is part of this collective of eight top South African artists from around the country who exhibit their work at the Artists’ Gallery. Through his work he aims to capture those fleeting moments that represent the essence of the African experience.

He has an uncanny and unique comprehension of the deep contrasts and textures possible in the medium of his choice, the pencil. His exquisite original artworks are available as originals as well as signed, limited framed and unframed prints on both canvas and paper.

Vince and the other artists connected to the gallery will be in attendance at the opening and will be available to chat and answer questions. Actor and art lover Barbie Meyer will open the evening.
