Poker goes to the dogs – and cats

Animal lover and biker Katja Keetch invites bikers to support the SPCA by taking part in a fun poker run, starting at The Tavern and ending at the Sweetdale Adventure Centre. Registration is from 10am to noon.

SOMETHING a little different will be a poker run, organised by the Old Bastards biking club.

It will be great fun – and it is for a good cause. All proceeds will go to the Uvongo SPCA.

The event starts at The Tavern on Saturday, February 11. Registration is between 10am and noon.

Bikers and their passengers taking part in the run will visit five designated local pubs, choosing their own routes and collecting cards at each one along the way.

Prizes will be awarded to those with the top three winning hands

The run will end at Sweetdale Adventure Centre in Izotsha where braai facilities will be available.

There will also be a cash bar and live entertainment.

Entry fee is R70 and includes a badge.
