Sample German treats at this bazaar

ALL sorts of traditional German cakes, sausages, meat and other treats, not to mention the festive German atmosphere, will be available at the annual Bethanien Lutheran Church bazaar.

This bumper market, one of the most popular regular annual events on the South Coast’s social calendar, is often just called the ‘German Bazaar’. It is much anticipated and almost everyone who lives on the South Coast makes a point of being there.

It takes place at the church hall in Izotsha, on July 30, from 7.30am. There will be plenty of fresh meat, metwurst, liver sausage, black pudding and sosaties available at the meat sale, which starts at 11am.

The cake tent, Kaffeestube, congregation table stall and stalls selling kartoffelpuffer and boerewors rolls open at 8.30am. You can also buy frankfurter rolls, pancakes and bacon and egg rolls. Eisbein will be available from 10am.

As usual there will be great entertainment for the whole family – including younger visitors – and music ’til the cows come home.
