Scots are honoured

IF you have even a little Scots blood coursing through your veins, you will be interested to known the Hibiscus Caledonian Society is holding a special Scottish day.

It will take place at Café Munro at Margate Retirement Village on Saturday, May 21, at noon. The Caledonians are hosting it to honour the Scottish contribution to society, bearing in mind the global influences of Robbie Burns, Dunlop, Macadam. Mackintosh, Baird and Alexander Bell.

Wine and malt will be available at the cash bar but bring your own whisky. Tickets are R85 per person and are available at the Elna shop in Shelly Centre.

A three-course meal will be served and haggis will be available for the adventurous to sample. Bagpipes will (naturally) be played. Everyone is welcome.
