Song and laughter with the Glitter Girls

THREE of of KwaZulu-Natal’s most loved and versatile performers, Lisa Bobbert, Liesl Coppin and Marion Loudon, make up the formidable femme de force known as The Glitter Girls.

Their many local fans will be pleased to know they will perform during the traditional South Coast Lions’ Show Saturday Live Party at the showground at Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday, July 16 from 7.30pm until 9pm.

The talented trio not only lights up the stage, but also has the audience eating out of the palms of their manicured hands. All three are natural comics who keep the audience in stitches with their irrepressible performances. Remember Pac-man, Spandex and Dallas? The trend- busting Glitter Girls go back to 1989, neon, big hair and even back to school.

This comedy entertainment includes songs from the 80s, right up to hits of today, with samples from Bananarama, Eurythmics, Rihanna, Madonna and Abba.

All three of these funny girls are previous recipients of the coveted Mercury Durban Theatre Personality of the Year award and are absolute charmers. You don’t have to be an eighties child to enjoy this light-hearted and highly entertaining musical comedy.
