There’s a full moon rising

Moon river: Join the MoonDeckers at Ramsgate Whale Deck Enviro Centre overlooking Ramsgate beach to watch the full moon rise on August 18, from 5pm. Light supper will be available but bring your own liquid refreshments.

 

WITH the full moon due to light up the South Coast soon, the Ramsgate Conservancy is preparing to host another of its wonderful MoonDecker evenings.

This will take place a at the regular venue, the lovely Ramsgate Whale Deck Enviro Centre overlooking Ramsgate beach, on August 18. The full moon is expected to rise over the sea at 5.47pm so make sure you are comfortably seated to watch the glorious light show by then. Most people start arriving at around 5pm.

The MoonDecker evenings are held at the whale deck on the evening of every full moon. Ever since they were started – many moons ago – they have proved hugely popular. Bring along your liquid refreshments and a comfy chair – some tables are provided – and join friends and neighbours for a savoury mince and rice supper, a few drinks, a chat and a spectacular moonrise. Supper only costs R30 per person.

There will be a lucky draw at R10 per ticket. All proceeds go towards Ramsgate Conservancy funds.
