Tigger bounces in to The Rock

THE amazing Tigger Reunart will be on stage at ‘The Rock Music Bistro’ on Sunday, May 15, as part of the usual Sunday pull in, plug in and play session that kicks off at 1pm.

Tigger began his musical career at an early age, performing in choirs and musical productions. It was during that time that he began his love affair with the guitar.

In 1988 Tigger moved to Los Angeles where he studied at the Musicians Institute for two years then he returned to be part of South Africa’s lively music scene.

He has toured and recorded with PJ Powers, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Wendy Oldfield, Lionel Bastos, Little Sister, Kate Normington, Vusi Khumalo and Fana Zulu.

He performed at the first Freedom Day celebrations at the Union Buildings for President Nelson Mandela and did a Royal Command Performance in Durban for Queen Elizabeth II.

Over the years he has fronted blues bands like ‘The Token Jesters’, ‘Keep the Change’, ‘The Pranksters’ and ‘Los Desperados’.

Tigger has also opened for a number of international artists like ‘Mike and the Mechanics’ and ‘Wet Wet Wet’ and has performed at all sorts of prestigious happenings throughout Africa, the United States and Europe. Although based in Knysna now, Tigger still tours with various acts and plays solo or in duos and bands at corporate launches and functions, sporting events and celebrations. He is also part of the countrywide club and bar scene, his infectious style and energetic performances continuing to thrill audiences.
