THE Sardine Mountain Bike Classic is back this year with a huge incentive to all mountain bikers.

MacBanana will be giving an unprecedented R6 000 to the overall male winner and R4 000 to the first female in the 40km race.

The beautiful Port Edward Holiday Resort will once again play host to this iconic event on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.

Participants can enjoy a relaxed day at the beach after a challenging 10km or 20km trail run on the Saturday or the competitive 40km and 20km challenge on the Sunday.

This world-class course meanders through lovely coastal forest, farm roads and rocky single tracks close to the stunning Umtamvuna river gorge.
