And the real chamber is…
The South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry has not changed its name, nor its logo.
IT looks as if the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry has passed through stormy waters. At a recent press briefing held at the Gates of Praise last Thursday, Bishop Lulamile Bodla formally introduced the real executive members.
Bishop Bodla is the president, Ivan Naidoo is the first vice president, Musa Mkhize the second vice president and Thobile Khawula is the secretary. Other members are Hilton O’Dwyer, Sibusiso Blose, Jenny Wilson, Bheki Msomi, Dudu Malinga, Nicholas Mncube and Quinton O’Dwyer.
“It is common knowledge that the South Coast Chamber has emerged from a period of dark clouds. We believe that period is now over,” the bishop said.
“We are in the process of recompiling our membership database. Membership forms are available in our offices. Our members can expect to receive a call or an email from us,” he said.
He also warned the public that the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry has not changed its name, nor its logo. I would like to ask our members to be wary of being approached by any other organisation claiming to be the South Coast Chamber.
“If you have any doubts or queries, please call myself or any of the other executive members who will confirm if any approach to you is from the legitimate Chamber or not,” he said.
“While we do not have our own offices yet, the Chamber will be housed at offices at Ziphakamise in Mitchell Street, Port Shepstone. Our financial standing will guide us on how and when we can move to our own offices,” he concluded.
