Rotary Anns reach out to the needy

Nappies, takkies and stationery were donated to those who need it most.

THE Rotary Anns of Shelly Beach recently handed over stationery and school footwear to underprivileged children who attend Suid-Natal Primary.

Funds were raised through the staging of Rotary’s popular melodrama and the children who benefited are those who live at the Fountain Of One Calling, a shelter for destitute adults and children in Umtentweni.

“The Fountain Of One Calling has been a project that the Anns have nurtured for the past few years,” said Ann president, Kerry Pereira.

Nappy packs were also handed to Kathy Marsden of the Methodist Church for distribution to new mothers from the rural Hibberdene area.

“Our passion lies with the children, so if anyone is able to contribute items such as children’s and baby clothing or toys they are welcome to contact me at 083 6268456,” said Ms Pereira.
