Young leaders are mentored

For the 50th consecutive year, the Rotary Club of Port Shepstone has organised a youth leadership course.

A GROUP of 80 gr 11 pupils from 45 schools throughout KwaZulu-Natal are attending Port Shepstone Rotary’s 50th annual youth leadership course this week. The pupils are identified by their schools and sponsored by their local Rotary clubs for a week’s coaching in life skills and the building of new friendships. Accommodated at Port Shepstone High, the youth leaders get to hear from some of the South Coast’s top professionals and are also taken on visits to a variety of local businesses. By sharing experiences and putting to the test their values, attitudes, knowledge and skills, the young men and women will develop their capacities as leaders, in school and later on. The course is designed to be an enjoyable learning experience, one that will leave a lasting imprint.
