Festive season brings road closures

No vehicles are to be parked on Panorama Parade on certain days.

ROADS leading to Margate will be closed on certain days this festive season.

According to the Margate Business Association, certain roads will be closed on December 15 and 16 as well as December 25 and 26, and December 31 from 6am until the morning of January 2.

Roads that will be closed are as follows: Margate Hotel down to the beach, William O’Connor, Warwick Road, Post Office Lane, Remington Lane and Finnis Road on the above dates.

Permits can be obtained at the MBA office up until this Friday, December 13 at 10am.

Only holiday and permanent residents, as well as business owners with their entrance in Panorama Parade, will be allowed into these areas to access their parking bays.

No vehicles are to be parked on Panorama Parade on these days. Access for delivery vehicles will only be between 6am and 10am on the above dates, with permits.

Marine Drive businesses and residents will not be affected at all.
