Tarelle fields for Margate Primary

Margate Primary showed initiative by fielding a girl, namely Tarelle Frost, for the first time.

MARGATE Primary took part in the ward athletics meeting recently hosted by Nkoneni Primary School. Eight primary schools from the Margate area competed and all athletes who travelled up to KwaNzimakwe to compete in their respective events, did exceptionally well. Congratulations to Josh Pillay, Iviwe Cenga, Sanele Tshingo, Amahle Hlonga, Izwile Dlamini and Sazisethu Mazongola, who qualified for the second round (circuit eliminations), which was held last week.

Recently the U13s played their first game against Creston and Margate Primary batted first, scoring 64 runs. Creston then batted and did extremely well, passing Margate’s score in the tenth over. Margate’s bowling and fielding were good, and for the very first time, they fielded a girl, Tarelle Frost, in the team.
