Southern Counties’ tennis AGM concluded
No new nominations for president and vice president were received.
SOUTHERN Counties’ Tennis held their AGM at the Tweni Tennis Club last Sunday, but the meeting was not as well attended as anticipated. No new nominations for president and vice president were received, so Mark Hannaway and Mark Hooper remain president and vice president respectively. Duncan Biggar was voted in as treasurer, Gloria Larkan was co-opted as match secretary and Ken Serrao and Ian Ackerman were elected as committee members.
Gavin Crookes, the president of KwaZulu-Natal Tennis, came all the way from Wartburg to explain the fee structure for registration, as well as the affiliation to KZN Tennis. Some social tennis was enjoyed afterwards and everyone attended the braai later on. With the weather behaving, a pleasant day was had by all. A big thanks goes to the Tweni committee for hosting the AGM.
