Education 2026

Learners strive high
St Patrick’s College is more than a place of learning. It is a community where children are known by name, encouraged to discover their strengths, and supported as they grow into confident young people.
From Preschool to Grade 12, the school provides children with a continuous educational journey in a supportive, close-knit environment where relationships matter and every learner is encouraged to contribute.
As an independent IEB school, a broad selection of subjects is offered, allowing learners to choose pathways that suit their interests, abilities and future ambitions.
But school life is about more than academics. Learners can discover their talents through a strong cultural programme that includes music, art and other creative pursuits, while the extensive sporting offering encourages teamwork, discipline and determination.
Over the years, learners have thrived at St Patrick’s, achieving at provincial and national levels in sport, while others have gone on to excel academically and pursue exciting opportunities beyond school.

Experiences between the classroom and the sports field make school memorable. From the Headmaster’s Hike and outdoor adventures to school events, competitions and community activities, the school believes children should have opportunities to make friendships, build confidence and create memories that last long after their school days are over.
For families from out of town, boarding facilities provide a supportive home away from home, fostering independence, responsibility and strong friendships.
At the heart of it all are the Christian values. St Patrick’s wants learners to leave not only with knowledge and qualifications, but with character, confidence and a desire to make a difference.
The school motto, Strive for the Highest, sums it up perfectly. Every child is encouraged to discover what they are capable of, make the most of every opportunity and, in their own way, strive for their highest.
