Police arrest two for conspiring to murder
Police are still searching for three more suspects.
A MAN (27) and a woman (35) appeared in the Port Shepstone court this week on charges of conspiracy to murder, attempted murder and armed robbery. Police are still searching for the other three suspects.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the 23-year-old victim had been stabbed 37 times on the night of May 13 at 11pm near Mbotsha location in Bhoboyi. He was left to die by his attackers and they also took his cellphone.
Lt-Col Wiid said the driver of a police van, which was patrolling the area on the same night, noticed a pool of blood on the road and investigated. He discovered the seriously injured victim in the bushes. “The victim was taken to a Durban hospital for medical attention. He was discharged last weekend,” she said.
