‘Do road rules only apply to some?’
Residents want to know what the traffic department can do to rectify the situation.

DEAR Editor,-
I would like to find out if someone knows why it is that some people think that they can break the rules of the road and not have to answer to anyone for it?
There are so many people that enter a one-way street in the wrong direction. This happens regularly at the bottom of Willowby Road in Carrington Heights, Glenmore: the road at the bottom of Savage and Grosvenor Roads.
We had another incident recently where we drove into the road and someone was coming towards us, going in the wrong direction. Words were exchanged and the occupants of the other car feel that it is okay to break the rules of the road because other people do?
One day there will be a nasty accident there because the traffic approaching from the wrong direction is not that visible. Residents would like to have an answer from the traffic department about what they can do about this situation. It just seems that this is the way the country is going and rules do not matter to certain people, but others must obey them and not argue.
TIRED RESIDENT
Glenmore
