On Eagle’s Wings: You and your health
We are blessed to live in an area with abundant fresh air and places to exercise such as the beach.

WE are now back into a new month and new year. The holiday season is over which I am sure played havoc with most people’s diets. As summer rolls on, we need to look at protecting our systems for the coming changes of season.
Active sportspeople will know the importance and benefits of a healthy lifestyle. By lifestyle, I don’t mean just diet, but lifestyle in general.
This includes eating a balanced diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, correct protein, drinking sufficient filtered water, taking the correct whole food based nutritional supplements, regular exercise etc.

A rough guideline for the correct nutrition includes the following …
A healthy immune system:
* Berries, carrots, tomatoes, garlic and green tea. If you are not eating these foods, then you need to supplement with a flavanoid complex, carotenoid complex, and garlic and allium complex.
Overall protection:
* Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, dark green leafy vegetables and green tea. Again, supplements include a cruciferous complex, flavanoid complex and carotenoids.
Cardiovascular health:
* Fibre, which includes soluble and insoluble fiber, soya protein, vitamin C and garlic. Supplements include a multi-fibre powder or tablet (it is recommended that the supplement includes all types of fibre or other problems can develop; as usual, follow nature’s blue print), a good quality protein drink which includes all 22 amino acids as well as sufficient fibre, vitamin C (yes, a wholefood type is more beneficial than a cheap acetic acid version) and a garlic supplement that includes all the allium plants.
A good idea for exercise is to sign up with the local Park Run programme. You do not have to run, but you will be encouraged along a planned route that is incredibly scenic. If you start your year off nutritionally well, you will have a very successful year.
While this is just a very brief outline, it should at least help as a guide. I am a registered distributor for a well-known, whole-food nutritional range. I would be more than happy to discuss your individual needs with you, but you can also chat to your GP or a nutritionist.
As always, my aim with these articles is to simply educate you on a way to improve your health naturally. I will not make any medical claims and I will try my best to remain neutral as far as specific branded products are concerned.
Psalm 41:3 The LORD will help them when they are sick and will restore them to health.
