‘Dedication and service is impressive’

DEAR Editor,-

We have been homeowners in Southport for the past 30 years. Ours is a holiday home we visit most weekends and school holidays.

During this time we have time and again witnessed the excellent efforts of our local SAPS unit at Southport. It is well-known that vehicles are in short supply and that there are often crime-related call-outs to local rural areas. Despite this, we regularly see the SAPS doing patrols around our suburb.

Also, in dealing with the staff after a recent violent house burglary, we were impressed by the service and dedication. I would conclude by saying our local guys are of the best in the country, as far as service delivery is concerned. Keep it up guys, we are proud of you.
