‘Hats off to postal service’
To our delight we were told the parcel had already been delivered to their home in Auckland.

Because postal services in the country have received so much criticism lately because of strikes, I need to say something about the service we received.
At 1pm on January 10, my wife and I went to our local Postal Agency in Umtentweni to post birthday gifts for our twin grandsons in New Zealand for their birthdays on January 13. We were naturally very apprehensive about the parcel getting there in time and had accepted that we had left it too late.
Nevertheless, at about 9pm on January 14, we phoned them to more or less tell the boys, Timothy and Benjamin, that their gifts (T-shirts from South Africa) were in the post.
To our delight we were told the parcel had already been delivered to their home in Auckland on January 13 during the course of the afternoon!
Well, if that it not excellent service by our Postal Services, then I don’t know how excellent service is defined. Once again, hats off to our postal services.
