PSSP gets inspired by music
Man of the match was Ben ‘Junior’ Malamba, who made a whopping 69 runs not out.
MUSIC specialist, Heidi Huizinga, inspired PSSP pupils at a recent assembly by treating everyone to a short percussion performance, highlighting the benefits of listening to music and playing musical instruments. The presentation ended with gr 5 pupil, Nandi Ngubo, playing the violin.
Senior Primary’s U13A team got off to a great start against Creston College last week and ‘openers’ Jarrod Horn and Ben ‘Junior’ Malamba found boundaries with relative ease. After 20 overs, PSSP scored 154/1 and man of the match was Ben ‘Junior’ Malamba, who made a whopping 69 runs not out. PSSP managed to bowl out Creston for 55 and congratulations go to Michael Clifford who claimed 3 wickets in one over.
In other matches against Creston College, the U11A and B teams struggled to match Creston’s score and lost. The U13B team restricted Creston to 85 runs in their 20 overs, after taking 4 wickets. PSSP experienced some difficulty with the bat and only managed 58 runs in their 20 overs.
