On Eagle’s Wings: Moving from anger to praise

There's something about working in the garden that helps to relax a person.

I DON’T know about you, but for me, February seems to have gone by in a whirlwind!

My work has been exceedingly busy with all sorts of out of the ordinary and, sometimes, heart rending cases.

We seem to be in a season of turmoil and anger at present.

Everywhere I look I see people fighting, anger, frustration, hatred etc. I will admit that apart from sadness, I get scared too.

I can only imagine what our Lord feels when He looks down.

With life seemingly running at full speed continuously, the heat and frustration of feeling like I was on a treadmill set to fast forward, life seemed to spiral into work, eat, sleep, stress … and repeat.

God has a habit of helping to bring me back to focus again at these times when I feel I am spinning out of control.

I have been blessed by being able to spend short periods immersing my self in God’s nature in our garden.

There’s something about working in the garden that helps to relax a person.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

On a recent morning after a welcome rain, it was amazing to be able to look out and see God’s abundant bird-life going about the daily task of reaping the food God freely provides for them in our

garden.

A certain angel paid me a visit recently to boost my flagging spirit and help to provide guidance and a light in my business.

He suggested a book called “Prison to Praise” by Merlin Carothers.

While I have not read this book yet (I have ordered it and await its delivery), the gist of the book is to move away from anger and frustration and praise God in ALL things.

Regardless of the situation, we need to praise God, thank Him for the challenge and ask for His guidance in learning from the experience and thank Him for the good that will come from it.

This is a lesson I took from the movie, “Facing the Giants”. As a team, they decided to praise God if they won AS WELL as when they lost. God faithfully blessed them abundantly.

As I work through this personal challenge in the coming months, I encourage you to do the same.

I don’t know your personal challenges, but I do know that we serve a faithful God who always has our best interests at heart whether we can see that at the time or not.

I look forward to seeing God’s blessings in all my challenges in the coming weeks and months.

May He bless you in abundance as well.
