PSSec pupils express love for charities

CUPID targeted hearts in a generous way on St Valentine’s Day at Port Shepstone Secondary. The school presented the day’s annual show to a packed audience last week Friday. The show was a charity-driven initiative put together by the school’s Rotary Interact Club. This year’s show was described as, ‘the best the school has ever seen’ by many pupils. Everyone enjoyed the mellifluous singing, delightful dancing, the jaw-dropping rapping and modelling.
The day proved to be even sweeter for one lucky pupil who walked away with a hamper of chocolates and 3-D movie tickets. Besides thrilling entertainment, pupils were also spoilt for choice this year with sales of roses, personally delivered letters, and the introduction of a ‘selfie booth’, which proved to be a firm favourite.
However, the school’s goal at the end of the day was bigger than just sheer entertainment and all proceeds from the function will be donated to designated charities. Deputy principal Jeff Dundraj thanked everyone for their generosity.
