Suspected burglars behind bars
The men were charged with being in possession of property thought to have been stolen.
SIX men currently in custody could be responsible for a recent spate of housebreakings in Uvongo.
Margate SAPS arrested the men in a special operation in Nkampini, near Margate, last Wednesday and found them in possession of various stolen items.
A detective team from Margate SAPS arrested the men. “A number of flat-screen TVs, laptops, DVD players, cellphones, speakers, an iPad, and iPad dock, clothing and other household items were recovered, ” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
