Man drugged, robbed in Margate

The concoction, he says, made him black out.

A MARGATE man claims to have been robbed by a knife-wielding ‘traditional healer‘ who fed him a concoction that made him black out.

The man had withdrawn money from an ATM in Margate last Thursday at about 6.30pm.

While walking in Erasmus Road, he was approached by a man who held him up at knifepoint.

“The knifeman apparently forced his victim to sit on the side of the road and then ordered him to drink some concoction. The assailant claimed to be a traditional healer,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.

“Hours later when the man woke up, he noticed that his money, keys and a portable radio had been taken.”
