‘Ain’t Miss Behavin’ going to be a gas

The show-stopper cast will perform at six venues.

THE Hibiscus Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) is rehearsing (as we speak) to showcase its next exciting production – ‘Ain’t Miss Behavin’ – at six venues.

This theatrical performance has been scripted in-house and will be recognised as a ‘bedroom farce’ – a genre that was very popular in the 60s.

HATS has just celebrated its first anniversary. And like most one-year-olds, it’s very active, energetic and enjoying exploring all the facets of theatre. Set in the 1920s, ‘Ain’t Miss Behavin’ tells of two sisters who are eager to spend time with their boyfriends in a little country cottage.

What could go wrong? Well, lots. The boyfriends are forced to dress in a disguise and end up looking like two gorgeous women. Things then go from bad to worse when not only does the vicar arrive to invite them to his service but the mother also turns up, looking for support and care from her daughters, as she has had the most frightful row with her husband.

As usual HATS invites its audiences to dress up and take verbal part in the show.
