REPORTS circulating on social media indicate that an elderly woman (71) was murdered in Munster late yesterday afternoon.
Although unconfirmed by official sources as yet, it appears the murder took place at the beach.
An official statement is awaited from the police.

Police have confirmed the incident.
According to spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, the woman was found by someone walking their dog.
Her throat had been slit.
