Full house for Hibberdene Academy
The Academy is completely confident of their future successes of their 2016 matrics.
HIBBERDENE Academy congratulates the matric class of 2016 on their fine results of a 100 percent pass rate and six distinctions.
Some 80 percent of students received one or more distinctions. Two students received Bachelor degree passes and three Diploma passes.
Parents, teachers, fellow students and the Hibberdene community are exceedingly proud of the group of five young people who have worked hard during the year, despite many difficulties, to achieve these results, and impressively writing these exams in English which, with the exception of Kiara Crocker, is not their home language.

Principal Brian Algie stated that it took the whole school and supportive parents for the students to achieve this 100 percent pass rate. ‘Each teacher, mom, dad, granny, grandpa, aunty, uncle and sponsor has made these results possible,” said Mr Algie.
This year’s IEB results reveals a higher percentage of degree entrance marks at 87.61 percent, two percent up on last year. Thabiso Gumbi, who achieved two distinctions has been accepted by Varsity College to further his studies.
Kiara Crocker (two distinctions) hopes to continue her studies in the UK while Sky Labuschagne (one distinction) will continue her studies in South Africa.
Headboy Sibonelo Msabala (one distinction) will further his studies at university. The indomitable Hesitate Mbhele has a passion for Business Studies and will follow his passion in that sphere.
The Academy wishes them well for their bright futures and are completely confident of their future successes.
