Margate man found with stolen vehicle

He has since appeared in the Harding Magistrate's Court.

A man (33) who is allegedly from Margate was arrested in Harding by police after he was stopped by Maser Security while driving in Murchison Street on August 19.

At the time, he was driving a silver-grey Chery Tiggo that was stolen earlier this month in Umlazi.

The man appeared in the Harding Magistrate’s Court on a charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Station Commander of Saps Harding, Col Satish Premchand, said that to prevent crime, Saps and Law Enforcement must continue to collaborate to make recoveries and effect arrests, resulting in safer communities.
