Cheers as Margate Middle School pupils pass

School principal, Sivalingam Moodley wished all pupils well and congratulated those who achieved great results.

ALTHOUGH there was a slight decline in the Margate Middle School‘s 2016 NSC examination results, pupils were very excited to pass against all odds.

Over 50 matriculants sat for the 2016 examination and persevered despite some challenges.

The 2016 results dropped from a 97 percent pass rate to a 82 percent , dropping by 15 percent as compared to last year and other years. The school had been doing exceptionally well with an overall 93 percent and upwards over the past years.

The class of 2016 excelled with 19 bachelor degree passes, and these pupils said they had worked hard to achieve their marks and were looking forward to starting university.

Aphiwe Nkosiyaphansi, from Margate who also made his mark and passed well said after having worked hard for months and being determined, he was extremely happy to be going to varsity this year.
