WATCH: ‘Bar Flies’ win Ramsgate Lions’ monthly quiz
It was a night to test their brains on a full tummy.
THE general knowledge of South Coasters was put to the test at the Ramsgate Lions’ braai and quiz night held at the Community Centre (old Ramsgate Bowling Club) last Friday.

Lions gathered some of their brainy friends who made up teams for the quiz which followed a great braai.
First with 41 points were the ‘Bar Flies’ comprising Lions Michelle and Warren Theron, Debbie Berry and Bill Benson.
Lion Rob Henry said that they were lying in third position until the last question which got them 12 points which put them ahead of the second team and regular winners, ‘PS Squared’ with 39 points.
Third place was a tie between the ‘B Team’ and the ‘Brainiacs’ on 38 points.
The general consensus was that it was a most enjoyable evening of good food, great camaraderie and general knowledge.
