Sheppie High sports captains announced

Alu Mbewana placed third in the boys' U19 triple jump with a distance of 14.44 metres.

PSHS’s winter sports are well under way and the sports fields are abuzz with netball, hockey, rugby, volleyball and golf each week.

At the recent South African Athletics Youth Championships in Cape Town Alu Mbewana placed third in the boys’ U19 triple jump with a distance of 14.44 metres.

The girls’ first hockey team played against Amanzimtoti High and won 4-2. They also beat Port Natal 5-0. The U14 team beat Amanzimtoti 1-0 and Southcity 2-0. The boys’ first hockey team beat Southcity 1-0.

The U14, U15, U16 and second netball teams were successful against Amanzimtoti High, winning all their games. The first rugby team won their match against Amanzimtoti 29-10 and the U16 and U14 teams also won their matches.
