LAST Saturday morning turned out to be unusual at Port Shepstone Islamic School when teacher Rabia Bux and gr 8 pupils hosted a ‘Grandparents’ Day’.
In order not to miss this exciting event, some grandparents travelled from as far afield as Cape Town. All 30 pupils paid tribute to their grandparents.

Grandparents were presented with a gift bag and the afternoon was rounded off with a delicious lunch, tea and desserts.
Gr 8 pupils are commended for their organisational skills and compassion. This successful event serves as a reminder to pupils that in this fast-paced life, they need to exercise patience, love and understanding towards elders. Mrs Bux and her gr 8 team extend gratitude to all who assisted to make this day a success.
