Chicken farmer murdered in Harding

The men arrived under the pretense of buying chickens.

HARDING detectives are investigating a murder case after a 60-year-old man was killed at his home in KwaJali, Harding last Thursday.

According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, at around 7.30pm Sibusiso Jojisa was at his home with his family when three men arrived under the pretence of buying chickens.

“Mr Jojisa’s son went with one of the men to choose chickens while the other two men stayed behind with Mr Jojisa. One of the men then drew a firearm and shot the businessman in the chest,” said Capt Mfeka.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The gunmen fled with some cash and a cellphone. “The motive is unknown and no arrests have been made,” said Capt Mfeka.
