POLICE are searching for a man who raped a woman (23) in Mtwalume on April 2. The woman and an 11-year-old child were collecting firewood in the Nyangwini area in Mtwalume when they were approached by a man.

He forced the young woman into the bushes where he raped her. The child ran home, a long distance away. Afterwards the woman went to the nearest homestead to report the matter.
Sergeant Siboniso Gcaba is appealing to local communities to assist in locating the person in the picture, who may assist in the investigation.
The sought person is of slender build, dark in complexion and of medium height, has gold fillings and a noticeable scar on his forehead. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact Sgt Gcaba at 039 6887900 or 072 0759078.
