Balraj Govender retires after 35 years at Jai Hind

Grade 7 pupils travel for an overnight stay at Kinderstrand.

STALWART teacher, Balraj Ramsay Govender bade farewell to Jai Hind Primary after 35 years of dedicated and loyal service.

Mr Govender qualified at the Springfield College of Education in 1982. After qualifying he accepted Jai Hind as his first appointment and went on to spend his entire teaching career at the school, playing a pivotal role in its transformation into the modern institution that it is today.

His contribution helped to promote a culture of teaching and learning and the ethos that permeates the school.

As a seasoned mathematics teacher, Mr Govender gave many years of commitment and dedication to his pupils.

He leaves on early retirement, venturing into business. The school wishes him well in his future endeavours and thanks him for his dedicated service.

The grade 7 pupils will be going on an overnight excursion to Kinderstrand at Glenmore Beach and are wished a happy visit.
