PORT Shepstone High first girls’ soccer team performed extremely well at a tournament at Pinetown Girls High recently and placed second overall.

The girls’ and boys’ soccer matches against Hillcrest last Saturday were filled with thrills and spills. Most Sheppie High teams were victorious with the boys’ first team winning 2-0 and the second team drawing 2-2.
The U16A, U15A and U14A teams won convincingly with scores of 2-0, 8-0 and 7-0 respectively. The girls U16A team won 2-1.
The athletics team competed against Kingsway High School last Saturday and pupils Zack Thiele (U15 discus), Luthando Shezi (U15 800m), Phiko Shozi (U14 800m and 1500m) and Megan Rudling (open girls 400m) placed first in their events.
