Margate Middle School learns from academy

Schools interested in hosting similar programmes can contact the academy.

LUCKYS kindly sponsored a public speaking seminar at Margate Middle School recently. Fishing director Mohamed Moosa welcomed educational consultant Edris Khamissa and advocate Mahomed Vahed last Wednesday for an animated two-hour public speaking presentation as part of the partnership between the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and the Khamissa Vahed Public Speaking and Leadership Academy.

The highlight for teachers and pupils was receiving copies of their book ‘Embrace the Joys of Public Speaking’. Teachers now look forward to a dedicated 90-minute presentation by Edris and Mahomed and the more intensive ‘Train-the-Trainer’ workshop.

Schools interested in hosting similar programmes (free of charge) can contact the academy at info@kvpsa.co.za and businesses that want to emulate the magnanimous gesture of Luckys by sponsoring books can contact Advocate Vahed at 083 6409054 or Mr Khamissa at 082 8251991.
