Merlewood Primary pupils head north for a day

For many pupils, it was their first trip to Durban!

MERLEWOOD Primary’s gr 5 pupils enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Mini Town and uShaka Marine World in Durban last week.

They were amazed by the aquarium and all the different sea creatures and totally incredulous at Mini Town and the size of the buildings on display, many of which they had just seen in full size. For many pupils, it was their first trip to Durban!

Many pupils had their artwork on display at Southcoast Mall last weekend and are commended for taking part.

Teachers are working towards completing assessments and urge parents to ensure attendance and not to keep pupils at home unnecessarily.

The school is deeply saddened by the loss of gr 2 pupil Simamkele Dzanibe who died last weekend.

Condolences are extended to his family and friends.
