Southcity actors enthrall audiences

A big thanks is extended to producer Nicola Elliott and co-producer JoAnn Snell.

SOUTHCITY senior preparatory presented a musical stage adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Mowgli’, entitled ‘The Jungle Book’ last Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Every child in the phase was cast in this production, producing a fantastic show of musical talent and promising acting.

Lead roles were played by grades 6 and 7 pupils, who did a sterling job of portraying the story through song, acting and dance. The setting was breath-taking with bright colourful make-up, costumes and backdrops, which brought the whole show to life.

The humour and cleverly crafted script appealed to a wide audience, from pre-schoolers to grandparents.

A big thanks is extended to producer Nicola Elliott and co-producer JoAnn Snell, as well as many other members of the Southcity family, who gave of their time and talents to make this event such a success.
