PORT Shepstone Islamic School held its annual dinner last Saturday. Ahmed Seedat, who serves on the school board, highlighted the immediate needs of the school and its planned capital projects.

This was followed by an inspirational talk by guest speaker Ml Sulaiman Moola, who impressed upon the vast audience the value of education.
He complimented the community for having established an institute like the Islamic School as it catered for both religious and academic needs under one roof.
He made a passionate plea to guests to continue supporting and contributing to the financial needs of the institute.
Gr 8 pupil Abdullah Mehmood officiated proceedings while Muhammed Amajee and Imran Sardar impressed with their recitals.
