Port Shepstone Secondary scoops poetry award

Her poem entitled ‘Induced’ boasted carefully selected diction and commendable style.

PORT Shepstone Secondary School is exceptionally proud of Sherelle Pillay, a grade 11 pupil. Sherelle’s flair for poetry was recognised and she was encouraged to enter the annual Douglas Livingstone Competition. Pupils from various public and private schools in KwaZulu-Natal entered the competition.

She and her family were invited to the prestigious awards ceremony at Westville Girls’ High last Tuesday, where she received a book prize and certificate for her remarkable effort that earned her first position in the grade 11 category.

Her poem entitled ‘Induced’ boasted carefully selected diction and commendable style. The school wishes her well in her future writing endeavours and congratulates her on her success.
