Merlewood Primary buzzed with excitement last week at its annual fund-raising ‘Fun Walk and Fun Day’, one of the highlights on the school calendar.
Pupils from grades R to 8 enjoyed the fun walk through the community and all who took part received a medal for their effort. Many stalls offered a variety of wares, including refreshments, clothing and jewellery.

Pupils could also play fun games to win interesting prizes, and the jumping castles and water slide kept the little ones busy for most of the day! The school is grateful to all parents, sponsors and donors for the support and for making this day such a success.
Parents of gr 7 and 8 pupils are once again reminded to enrol their children at a secondary school, as Merlewood Primary will not be housing gr 8 pupils from 2018.
