PSSP’s Ryder House hostel mourns the loss of senior chef Norris Cele, who served the hostel with dedication and loyalty for the past seven years. Norris died suddenly after suffering a heart attack. His funeral service was held in Izingloweni last Saturday.

U11B cricket team won by four runs against Suid-Natal Primary last Wednesday. The U13 B team was not as fortunate and lost by 74 runs. The U11As batted well, with an amazing 65-run partnership between Alutha Kondile and Leethan Hess.

Although they eventually lost, players thoroughly enjoyed the match and look forward to the game against Creston. The U13A team fought strongly in very windy conditions, but unfortunately lost.

Parents are reminded that the extramural programme ends today (26th) and the focus will be on preparation for final exams, commencing November 9.

The afternoon remedial maths lessons will continue until November 9. Class teachers met with parents to discuss pupils’ academic progress last week.

Important dates: November 15 – AGM/Budget meeting and November 22 – Awards Day.
