Creston College announces head prefects

Both the Port Shepstone Hockey Club and Creston strive towards building a love of hockey.

Creston congratulates head boy and girl Kennedy Wood and Siphe Ndlangisa, and deputy head boy and girl José Gonzalves and Paige Pretorius. House captains are Akhona Mayeza and Nomthi Pangwa (Eagle) and Daniella Horn and Zanele Nxamagele (Falcon).

Thank you to Port Shepstone Hockey Club and Donovan Rothman for the donation of R3 000.

At the U13 cricket matches against Port Edward Primary, the A-team won by three runs and the B-team by five wickets. Joseph Currie (gr 4) scored 41 in two innings with a not out of 25 and Qhawe Gumbi (gr 5) took a five-wicket haul.

Jenna Unsworth (gr 11) made it through to the quarter-finals in the girls’ U18 Division at the SA Junior Surfing Championships in Jeffrey’s Bay and was selected as team captain.

Claire Haskins (gr 9) made it to the quarter-finals and Jesse Powell (gr 8) to the semi-finals. Ugu Surfriders finished sixth overall.

All gr 7 pupils are invited to write the 2018 gr 8 entrance tests every Friday during the fourth term from October 27 to December 1. Contact Lynne Harley at 039 6855562 for more information.
