Merlewood’s grades R and 1 pupils were treated to a puppet show entitled ‘Christmas in Africa’, conducted by Heather Tomlinson. They thoroughly enjoyed the interactive puppet show, which would not have been complete without the ‘gumboot dance’ – always the highlight of the show!

Gr 4 pupils were privileged to have a representative from Woolworths present an interactive lesson on the ‘Big Stomp’. Pupils were taught about the benefits of recycling, saving water, using resources sparingly and urged to leave their ‘footprint’ to conserve the environment.
